Staff Meetings and Professional Development
Staff meetings are held on a monthly basis and include a staff development component that is determined
through a consultative process with staff and the administrative team.
The focus of the professional development is on instructional design and delivery and student assessment. On
site and in class support and coaching has been an integral part of the teaching culture. The Departments have
been working on Common assessment practices.
The departments are Humanities, Planning, Math/Sciences, and ESL and Activities . There is also an Academic
Advisor who coordinates some of the subject areas. Meetings are held on a monthly basis with appropriate staff
and administration. This leadership component supports staff in the areas of leadership and management.
Department heads represent the needs of the staff in their area at the team leadership meetings.
