Sino Canada high School is a fully accredited British Columbia School operating in China. It operates under the auspices of the British Columbia Ministry of Education as an offshore school. The school is fully inspected annually and has rigorous inspections equal to or more rigorous than any private/public school in British Columbia Canada.
We offer a full high school program for Chinese and international students who intend on pursuing their studies in Canada following their graduation. The British Columbia Program in Sino-Canada is inspected and certified by the Province of British Columbia's Ministry of Education. Graduates from our school program will have successfully completed the British Columbia graduation program in English, taught by British Columbia certified teachers. Graduates from Sino-Canada High School are issued British Columbia Certificate of Graduation (Dogwood Diploma).
British Columbia’s Offshore School Certification Standards
• Teach all British Columbia courses in English
• Employ teachers and principals that are certified as teachers in British Columbia
• Fulfill instructional time requirements
• Meet subject requirements and learning outcomes of the British Columbia curriculum
• Provide grade 10, 11 and 12 courses that enable students to meet British Columbia graduation requirements
• Ensure all grade 12 students write all required British Columbia examinations
• Pass annual on-site inspections as specified by British Columbia’s Ministry of Education
• Appoint a British Columbia agent who resides in British Columbia and has authority to represent the school when corresponding with the ministry
• Pay all application and per student fees as required and pre-pay all inspection related costs
